Buy Local!

1) CSA Box Program

The South Central Farmers delivers fresh, seasonal, organic produce from their farm in Bakersfield every Wednesday. Among multiple locations in the Los Angeles area, there are several convenient pick up locations near UCLA:

What is in a CSA box?

Local, organic, seasonal fruits and veggies. Click here for examples of the type of produce that has been included in boxes. We encourage participants to sign up for a monthly subscription (4 weeks) because it takes about four to six weeks of getting a box to get into the rhythm of using all the veggies. There is also an email and blog with suggestions for how to use your produce.

Pick up locations

UCLA Law School : Wednesdays from 2-3:30 at the Shapiro Courtyard (pickup is currently unavailable, but will resume the week of January 5, 2015)

UCLA UPNS -- This is at the University Park Nursery School near National and Sepulveda. It is Wednesdays from 1:30pm to 7:30pm.
