Undergrad Projects

Interested creating the next great computer system?  Excited to work with the latest applications? Come join us!

We are looking for a few bright, energetic undergraduates to join exciting computer science research. Opportunities are available immediately and can involve paid research. The project is in the area of computer architecture. See attached flyer for full information.

We currently have six undergraduates in LSSG, exploring projects ranging from compilers, architecture, GPU programming, data compression, and reliability.  We have exciting opportunities in the following areas:
  • Programming Computers of the Future
  • The Future of Computers (parallel and heterogeneous architecture)
  • Internet-scale Computing
  • Novel computer storage
In general, the best guide to research opportunities is our currrent suite of research projects.
You can also see the outdated flyer below for more information.

The LSSG is part of the University of Chicago's   Department of Computer Science, and also affiliated with Chicago's Computation Institute, and Argonne National Library's Mathematics and Computer Science Division.
