Looking for an event you can bring to any community?

Many students have held Fitness with Friends days at schools and agencies that serve students with disabilities.  Usually it is a one-day event, but planning counts toward service hours so you can accomplish all 15 hours with a single event.  Ideally you will try to include students or adults with disabilities in helping to plan the activity, but this is nor required.  You do want to make sure you are familiar with the population for whom you are planning the event, so spend time at the agency or school to be sure you are planning appropriately for the needs of the audience.

Sample past Field Days include: SEE "HOW TO GUIDE" ATTACHED BELOW.

The UCP East Orange/Bailes Campus is one of seven locations for UCP of Central Florida. The East Orange/Bailes Campus is an OCPS elementary charter school that practices full inclusion for students with and without disabilities, and is always willing to host Fitness with Friends activities..

For service-learning opportunities at the East Orange/Bailes school, visit the following wiki and read all instructions: http://bailesvolunteers.wikispaces.com/

You may want to print the plan below if you are looking for a ready-made activity!

Check the Orlando- UCP of Central Florida: East Orange/Bailes Campus post for more information on working with UCP Bailes.  This is a popular and busy location. Plan ahead, follow instructions, and be prepared to choose another service site in case this location is full.
