The Role of The Anganwadi Worker in Polio Eradication



Knowledge Community on Children in India (KCCI) is a partnership between MoWCD, GOI and UNICEF which aims to fill knowledge gaps and to promote information sharing on policies and programmes related to children in India. Students from all over the world are placed in 14 states in India to study various programmes run by UNICEF. During the summer of 2009, Jane Park evaluated the role of local female health workers in Bihar, India as they worked to eradicate polio.
