Looking to pray Salatul Jummuah on campus but you can't make it to the nearest mosque? The MSA offers an on-campus Jummuah prayer!

Join us as we co-host with several other student groups to indulge in other cultures and listen/watch live performances!

Culture vs. Islam

Come together with the UAlbany MSA as we discuss modern topics such as Arranged Marriage, Women's Rights, and Jihad. We as Muslims in America have a very diverse population with people from many different cultures, and it's important to understand the distinct differences between culture and religion.

This event is meant to refute popular misconceptions and try to educate everyone!

Inter-MSA's Eid-ul-Adha Celebration!
Join us to celebrate Eid! We are co-hosting with Siena MSA. We will be catering dinner from Lazeez restaurant inshaAllah. This is a great time to take a small break from midterms, and come to socialize and have fun on Eid!

Our Mission:

The Muslim Students Association is an organization geared toward providing religious, academic, and social services to the Muslim students on campus. Our goals include promotion of religious tolerance by working with other faith-based groups, educating the general campus community on the Islamic faith, uniting the campus community with the greater Capital District Muslim communities, and encouraging civic participation through community service events.


The M.S.A. welcomes all members of the campus community to come join and learn with us!
General Religious Services:

  1. The MSA has an established prayer room space in the campus center for daily usage (CC345)
  2. Weekly Jummah (Friday) prayers are held on campus during the academic school year (August-May)
  3. Halaqas (Islamic study circles) are held consistently during the academic school year
  4. Iftar is provided during Ramadan
