Update on Future Tytherton Village Hall

4th June 2015

Dear fellow residents,

I am very much aware that it has been over three months since the closing date for the submission of the consultation questionnaire that many of you thoughtfully completed.  I am very keen to share with you the results of the consultation noting the plethora of opinions, concerns, offers of help and the extremely positive suggestions on how a new village hall could be used for the benefit of the local community.  I am, however, delayed in doing so due to the request that the results are considered by the Bakers Trust first for consideration on a potential site for the new hall.  This delay is frustrating, but I have recently been informed that there are in fact 14 members of the trust and it has been a challenging period for Strutt & Parker, the managing authority, to communicate with each trust member and answer questions in turn, especially as some are not UK residents.  The sites identified on the consultation questionnaire, however, are being seriously considered by the trust and also the conditions upon which a site may be offered to The Village Hall Committee.  At this moment in time, no decision has been made.

As soon as a decision is made I will call a public meeting and share with you the outcome of the Bakers Trust decision and also the detailed results of the consultation questionnaire.

I thank you for your patience on this matter and would like to assure you that the hall committee continues to work very hard on events in the hall ensuring this very valuable asset remains a focal point for the local community.  I really appreciate your continued support and I look forward to seeing you at future at the events.

Kind Regards
