Welcome on my personal home page!
This website provides you with information about my research, professional and teaching activities as well as my curriculum vitae.
I am a Head of Equity & Asset Allocation at Swiss Life Asset Managers, adjunct finance faculty at the University of Mannheim and research fellow of the Hamburg Financial Research Center. As portfolio manager I am responsible for multi asset / equity funds and structured products. I also contribute to the development and improvement of asset allocation concepts and quantitative investment models.  In 2014 I obtained my Ph.D. in Finance of the Swiss Finance Institute and the Department of Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich. From August 2012 until September 2013 I was also a visiting predoctoral research fellow at the Finance Department of Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management.  My research interests include: 1) asset management (asset allocation, option markets, investment strategies), 2) asset pricing (factor models, return predictability) and 3) corporate finance (the interaction of corporate investment and financing decisions with the macroeconomy). My main expertise is empirical research, however, my corporate finance related work is a synthesis of theory with calibration methods and empirical analysis.
