Campus pack error:

An unknown course was requested in the single sign-on request.

Receiving the error message when creating a new or copied Campus Pack tool (wiki, blog, journal, etc.). Campus Pack advises that once the CP tool has been created the Managed Campus Pack sync process should be performed.

Run a synchronize course to be sure Campus Pack updates properly.

Teaching Assistant is not able to add to or edit Campus Pack tools. This feature is working as designed.

The instructor will need to add the TA role in the Permissions area of the CP tool.  After the permissions are adjusted, be sure to run a synchronize course to be sure Campus Pack updates properly.

Be aware that if you delete a link to a Campus Pack tool in Course Materials, the tool is still available in the Campus Pack Collaboration Space. Students will still be able to access the tool from Tools> Campus Pack Collaboration Space.

This is working as designed. After deleting a link to a Campus Pack content item, be sure to also delete the actual Campus Pack content in the Campus Pack Collaboration Space. Conversely, please note that if you delete Campus Pack Content in the Collaboration or Tools Area, the links to these items in the Course Materials area will break. The link will also need to be removed separately.

Turnitin

Known Issues
Explanation/Description

Workaround

Student Submissions are not automatically appearing in the Blackboard Grade Center. Faculty attempting to retrieve TurnItIn submissions through their Blackboard Grade Center may find that student submissions are not automatically appearing due to changes made to the TurnItIn system on January 22, 2014.

A fix to this issue was released on January 29, 2014. Instructors can use the "Sync Grades" link next to the assignment title to resend the grades for the assignment.

Students attempting to upload to a Blackboard-Turnitin assignment may experience a never-ending “Uploading” message.

For Turnitin to work properly, your browser must allow cookies from turnitin.com. If you are having trouble submitting, set your browser to enable cookies from turnitin.com. Students can contact the Service Desk for assistance in allowing cookies in the browser.

"Error 233 There was an error accessing this Turnitin Assignment because it was created via Course Copy, Snapshot, or some other process, and the original Turnitin Assignment could not be found.”

It is recommended to create new Turnitin assignments in each course (rather than copy from course to course) for each semester for optimum functionality. In some instances the course copy process will copy Turnitin assignments correctly, but in some intermittent instances errors may occur. In any course copy process, if any graded content (assignments, tests, discussion boards) is copied, then the Grade Center Columns and Settings category must be checked.
When trying to manually sync grades from Turnitin to Blackboard, user may receive a Turnitin 9999 error message.

Turnitin Error!
There was an error trying to view the submissions to this particular Turnitin Assignment. Please try again. If the error persists, please contact the Turnitin HelpDesk and provide the following error code and error message.
Error Code: 9999
Error Message: Problem locating a gradebook column associated with this assignment

Turnitin is reporting this is a generic communications error given when the Blackboard grade center column and the Turnitin assignment are out of sync.

Sometimes this error may be fixed by following the instructions below:

1. Click on Turnitin Assignment under "Course Tools."
2. Click on the assignment.
3. Click on "Edit assignment settings."
4. Click on the "Submit" button. This will retry synching the grade center column with the assignment.

In cases where the grade center columns have been edited by the instructor or are not correctly linking to the Turnitin assignment, it may be necessary to escalate the issue to Turnitin engineering.  Submit a Footprints ticket with the error message, full course id, Turnitin assignment name (location).   Instructors can also contact the Service Desk to submit a ticket.
Submissions of the Turnitin assignments are not appearing in the Grade Center, “Needs Grading area”.  If no grade center entry is made automatically upon submission, it is usually due to a failure of the web services call between Blackboard and Turnitin. It can also be caused by a problem with the grade center Column ID, which can happen if the course is copied incorrectly or if the instructor edits the grade center column.  Instructors can use the “sync grade” link next to the assignment to resend the grades for the assignment.  If the grades does not sync (exclamation point icon in the grade center “Needs Grading”), a ticket can be submitted to Turnitin to see if they can manually resend the request.  Submit a Footprints ticket with the error message, full course id, Turnitin assignment name (location).   Instructors can also contact the Service Desk to submit a ticket.
