Tse-Wei Chen received the B.S. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University (NTU), Taipei, Taiwan, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree from the Graduate Institute of Electronics Engineering (GIEE), NTU, in 2010.

In 2010, he was a foreign joint researcher with the Graduate School of Information Science, Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher with the VLSI Design and Education Center (VDEC), the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan. His research interests include multimedia content analysis, computer vision, pattern recognition, machine learning, and associated VLSI architectures.

Dr. Chen was awarded the postdoctoral fellowship from the National Science Council (NSC), Taiwan, in 2010. He is a member of the technical committees of Asia Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association (APSIPA) and several international conferences.
