Our mission is to provide all community members with the opportunity for lifelong learning by promoting literacy, providing access to information and offering programs for enrichment.

Book Club

  • October Book Our next book club meeting is Monday, October 3, at 7:30pm. We'll be discussing  East of the Sun by Julia Gregson.  We currently have one copy and will let you know as more become available. I will bring book suggestions and a snack.  November's book is In Harm's Way: The Sinking of the U.S.S. Indianapolis and the Extraordinary Story of Its Survivors by Doug Stanton.  From BookList:   One of the more notorious snafus of World War II concerned the July 1945 sinking of the cruiser USS Indianapolis by a Japanese submarine, with the loss of almost 900 sailors.     Happy autumn, everyone!

    Winter Hours: 

    Sunday: noon- 4:30pm
    Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday*:  3:30 - 8:30pm
         *The first Wednesday of ever month the library closes at 6:30pm

    Story Hour, Tuesday, September 13, 11am
    : Accompany your little one to enjoy stories, crafts, physical movement and song every Tuesday at 11am.  Jessie Clark is our volunteer coordinator again this year!  If you are interested in volunteering to present story hour programs, please contact her at jessielclark@gmail.com.

    Books-2-Movies, Sunday, September 18, 4:30pm:  Join our teen book club!  Read the book War Horse by Michael Morpurgo (copies at the library), then come watch the movie on the 18th and talk about it.  Bring a drink with a lid and $5 for pizza. Open to 7th grade and up, or by parent permission. 

    Scholastic BOGO Book Fair, Tuesday, September 20, 3:30 - 6:30pm:  Buy One Get One Free at the book fair!  We'll have the books for sale during Story Hour, and TVS students will have the opportunity to purchase during the school day.  The sale will be open to the general public from 3:30 - 6:30pm.

    Tri-Valley Book Club. Monday, October 3, 7:30pm:  We'll be discussing the book East of the Sun by Julia Gregson. Join us! Contact Amanda to put your name on the email list.
