Our mission is to provide all community members with the opportunity for lifelong learning by promoting literacy, providing access to information and offering programs for enrichment.

Book Club

  • April Book We're taking a break the month of March, so our next book club meeting will be Monday, April 3, at 7:30pm. We'll be discussing Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.  We have a couple of copies available at the library, and you can also find it on Alaska Digital Library.  It's my turn to bring book suggestions and a snack.May's book is The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Díaz.  From Booklist: "Díaz's gutsy short story collection Drown (1996) made the young Dominican American a literary star.     TVCL will be closed during Tri-Valley School's spring break, March 12 - 19.

    Winterfest Denali Birthday Cake Bake-Off! Open to ALL ages. Saturday, February, 25:  In honor of Denali's 100th birthday TVCL is organizing a birthday cake bake-off on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Tri-Valley Community Center.  Register by Wednesday, Feb. 22, and find out more at the library.  Prizes will go to best presentation, best tasting and most creative!   Bonus point if you use a library book recipe!  :) 

    Potluck Dinner and a Movie at the library. Sunday, February 26, 5:00pm.  Chill out after Winterfest and enjoy a good movie.  This month we're showing Last Holiday.  Bring gourmet food, something fancy, or simply something tasty!  Need ideas?  Check out our cookbooks at the library. 

    The Hobbit by J.R.R.Tolkien, Books-To-Movies Teen Book Club,  Friday, March 31, 5:30pm:  Read the book.  Watch the movie.  Bring your own drink with a lid and $5 for pizza.  Open to ages 13 and over, or by parent permission.  Copies of the book available at the library.  Review both the book and movie at https://www.commonsensemedia.org/search/hobbit. Sign up in advance appreciated but not required!

    Tri-Valley Book Club. Monday,  April 3, 7:30pm:  We'll be discussing the book, Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.  Join us and/or contact Amanda to add your name to our email list. 

    Story Hour. Tuesdays, 11am: Come to Story Hour and enjoy reading, crafts and music with your little one. Jessie Clark is our volunteer coordinator again this year!  If you are interested in volunteering to present story hour programs, please contact her at jessielclark@gmail.com.

    Winter Hours:  
    Sunday: noon- 4:30pm
    Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday*:  3:30 - 8:30pm
         *The first Wednesday of ever month the library closes at 6:30pm
