2017 Weekly Schedule 10 – OMEA State Finals Week

Week 9 Wrap-Up

Week 9 was a flurry of activity even though we were only in school two days! Thank you for a great performance at the Pumpkin Show Parade Thursday night!  Thank you to the student leaders who volunteered to assist the Eighth Grade Band at the Friday afternoon parade, and thank you for your enthusiastic support of the football team on Friday night.

OMEA State Finals Performance

This week the band will make History.  The Band Staff challenges you to rehearse each and every moment exactly the way you are going to perform on the field at Hilliard Darby on Saturday.  We need your VERY BEST EFFORT with every step you take and every note you play.  There are NO HEROES...only the Golden Sound working together as ONE to achieve an overall rating of SUPERIOR.  There will be individuals corrected this week.  It may not be easy for you to hear your name when something is going wrong.....but it is necessary.  When we fix things, they must stay fixed so we can move on and make more improvements.  On Saturday, what will we hear?  Teays Valley High School Marching Band from Ashville, OH.  Your overall rating is.....................
