Welcome to Tusquittee Landing Airport (FAA identifier NC08).  Located in the beautiful western North Carolina mountains, NC08 is 5 miles northeast of the city of Hayesville in Clay County, NC.

Tusquittee Landing Airport is a private use airport owned and managed by Tusquittee Landing Flyers Association, Inc. (TLFA).   Permission is required prior to landing.  Please contact the association President Tony Creasy at 828-389-6586 to obtain permission.  The airport is constrained by mountains on three sides.  Runway 28 is the recommended runway as the go-around option on runway 10 requires significant climb performance.  Communications is highly recommended on 122.75 (unmonitored).

TLFA flyers enjoy the beautiful scenery where most days are great "CUB" flying opportunities. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains and bordered by the Nantahala National Forest, Tusquittee Landing Airport offers sites like no place on earth, from luscious spring greens to amazing fall colors.  Lake Chatuge is just south of the airport, while Tusquittee Bald (5,260') is north, and Standing Indian (5,499') is east.  Flat landers will quickly learn about mountain wave turbulence.

Fly-ins are becoming a regular occurrence at Tusquittee Landing Airport as more pilots discover the hidden beauty in our little part of the world. Thanks to the Georgia Liaison of TheRAF.org and SWT Aviation for their support.
