For the participants, this is a space where women in the visual arts can meet and exchange ideas, as well as showcasing their recent work in film and the visual arts.

For the public, this is an opportunity to see a wide range of the latest work produced by local artists.

Women artists, despite their involvement in training and art-production, remain under-represented at many levels. Local women artists will benefit from a structured yet open network which is independent from the commercial art scene.

This festival is to coincide with other International Women's Day events in 2011.
