The Green Earth club is a club that we developed to bring awareness of the world around us, and the impact we have on the environment. We wanted the kids to know that in little ways we can all make a difference not only in our communities but also globally.
We started a community garden for the club so that our kids could enjoy fresh vegetables during summer camp. We started our garden this year on Earth Day by planting seeds in peet pots. The kids got to learn about different seeds and were able to watch as things grew. This summer we also had the added help of WSU Master Gardeners to teach us more about gardening. They brought plants and helped us to redesign our garden. Each member of the club had a hand in developing, planting, and harvesting the garden.

This club runs from early spring
through early fall when we can focus on nature and enjoy all that it offers to us.
