Community Development

To be effective in a community you must be immersed in that community… truly immersed.  Simply being visible is not enough.  In the communities in which we work, you would be hard pressed to not hear about James Summers or The Summers Group.  That’s because being a working contributor to community organizations is how we come to understand the real needs of the people.

Others may survey “community leaders” to learn what the needs are. We choose to roll up our sleeves and help.  While we are working side by side with those doing the serving and those being served, we learn what the real challenges are.  We hear first hand what’s not being said in “polite” company.  Why do we take this approach?  Because it’s effective.
