I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Ashoka University, the first dedicated liberal arts university in India.  I received my Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of California, Davis in September 2015.  I was a visiting Ph.D. student in the School of Philosophy at The Australian National University from June to August 2014.  I received my M.A. in philosophy from the University of Wyoming in May 2008 and my B.A. in philosophy from the University of Montana in May 2005.

My primary research interest is in metaphysics, particularly in grounding and the metaphysics of properties, relations, and propositions.  I also have interests in logic and the philosophies of mathematics and religion, as well as in environmental ethics, especially as it relates to the use of outer space and celestial bodies.
