Happy New Year!

Semi-Annual Progress Reports

Many of you have reached or are about to reach your 90th day of your homeschools. Don't forget to make your mid-year progress reports as required by the Third Option Law. Progress reports are for your records only since TSCHAA leaves record keeping up to the parents as stated in the law. Learn more about progress reports here. Need help with grading? Consider the ideas in this article by the Home Scholar.

Are you legally homeschooling?

According to SC law, the parent/legal guardian of a child is the only one who can set up a homeschool. You cannot sign up a neighbor, cousin, friend's child, etc. and homeschool him/her. If a child is not legally in school, the parent runs the risk of being charged with truancy. Please make sure you are following the law!
