Wenzhe Shi worked at the Department of Imaging Science of the Institute of Clinical Science within 
 as a research associate under Dr Declan O'Regan and 
 October 2012 to October 2014. 
He received his Ph.D. training under Prof. Daniel Rueckert 
in the Biomedical Image Analysis (BioMedIA) group within the Department of Computing from October 2009 to October 2012. 

He received a M.Sc. Degree in Computer Science from Imperial College London in 2008. Before moving to Imperial College, he received two Bachelar degrees from both Fudan University and University of Birmingham respectively in Computer Science and Electronic and Software Engineering in 2007. He worked as a game designer for Giant Interactive Group from 2008 to 2009.

Dr Shi's research focuses on cardiac MR image analysis. His research interests are image registration, image segmentation and sparse representation. 
He has published more than 100 journal and conference (MICCAI, CVPR, ICLR, ICCV etc) articles. He is referee for a number of international medical imaging journals and conferences.
