Voting to establish Work Priorities for the remainder of 2011 was conducted at the April 1, 2011 meeting.
The selected Priorities are:
1.a: Work in partnership with Baltimore City Mayor’s Office of Human Services to define and implement a mechanism that supports equal access to an array of high quality, culturally responsive homeless services for transgender and gender nonconforming consumers. (6 votes);
13: Work in partnership with Baltimore Community Relations Commission to ensure that all covered entities understand and comply with Article 4 of the Baltimore City Code. (3 votes), and;
16.b: Develop and/or adopt, and through advocacy and collaborative partnerships promote the broad implementation of, a set of Standards/Best Practices for services and supports to transgender and gender nonconforming persons in public and private settings, inclusive of administrative practices, service delivery, cultural responsiveness, and nondiscrimination. (3 votes)
