Tuan Anh Tran, Ph.D.

I graduated from the University of Science, Ho Chi Minh National University, Viet Nam, as a Mathematician (honor program) in 2010.

I received a Master's in Applied Mathematics from MAPMO, University of Orleans, France, in 2011.

After that, I spent three years in Viet Nam and started a career as a university math lecturer.

I made a career change in 2014 and started a Ph.D. at the Pattern Recognition Lab, Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Chonnam National University, South Korea. I received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 2017.

I have researched and developed computer vision systems, focusing mainly on document image processing. I have had some good research results and won several scientific awards. Besides, I also created some practical applications that were used widely: EKYCs, financial document analysis, and general document analysis. I am also developing intelligent data management systems for machine learning.

My research interests: Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Computer Vision, and Data Processing.
