Want to Join Us?

So, you think you might like to join us? Fantastic! It probably won’t surprise you if I say most people who are thinking of becoming a member ask similar questions. I’ll answer the more obvious ones here and if you still have questions please contact us or call our secretary David on 01225 702 600.
Who can join?

Anyone over the age of 18 can come to our meetings. We don’t care what camera you use or how long you’ve been taking photographs. We only ask that you have a love of photography and wish to join a friendly, growing community of people who enjoy taking pictures.

When & Where do we meet?

We meet on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm. (although there’s normally someone there from just after 7.00) in the church hall at:

St Thomas Church Hall

York Buildings
BA14 8PT (map)

What kind of welcome can you expect?

When you first come to meetings you won’t be made to feel like an outsider. You’ll have people come over and talk to you and make you feel welcome. Not because we've asked them to, but because they want to. We’re a friendly bunch and like to make guests feel welcome. You won’t be pressured into deciding if you're going to join straight away and anyone who is thinking of becoming a member can visit us 3 times free of charge before they need to make their mind up.

As well as holding weekly meetings (you can see the latest programme here) we occassionally organise trips out to local events or places of interest. There’s also the opportunity to arrange photographic trips with other members yourself if you wish.

Our new season starts each August and we’ve got a brilliant line up of speakers, tutorials, demonstrations & lots of amazing photographs.
So why not take a look at what we’re getting up to this year!

What does it cost for yearly membership?
The cost of joining the club is set annually at the AGM. It is currently, (and has been for some years), £45 per season.
