Questions:I had a quick question in general about Windows 7 updates. I installed 7 clean on my sister's laptop, but then it tries to download and install 192 updates. Each time, it ends in failure and then the laptop is stuck "reverting" the changes for hours.
I am at work, and when I get home I will follow the posting instructions for updating errors that you guys have posted on this website. In the mean time, I was curious if maybe it would help if I only installed 10 or so updates at a time. In general, what causes Windows updates to fail to configure? Could it be some of the drivers that I installed on the laptop (at this point, I only installed Intel chipset drivers, a graphics drivers, and a sound driver... it is an HP laptop). Also, would pulling the battery out while it is "reverting" cause the entire "reverting" process to be corrupted?
I'm just tyring to get an idea about whether or not I am doing anything wrong...
