Heart of Virginia Council will hold its first ever National Youth Leadership Training Course at the Cub Adventure Camp starting August 6th 2017. NYLT is the BSA’s next level of leadership training for Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Venturers, and Sea Scouts after completing Introduction to Leadership for Troops / Introduction to Leadership for Crews and Ships. The NYLT course centers around the concepts of what a leader must BE, what he must KNOW, and what he must DO. The key elements are then taught with a clear focus on HOW TO. The skills come alive during the week as the patrol goes on a Quest for the Meaning of Leadership.

If you have not done so, please register your KROGER card. This is an easy way for us to raise funds for our Troop.

*All Scouts are challenged to look into earning the religious emblem of their faith. To find out more, go to www.praypub.org

Yours in scouting,
