As a reminder, those going up for advancement, as per the 2017 Guide to Advancement you should be wearing your Field Uniforms. For our weekly meetings, we will return to Field Uniforms in September.

8.0.0.4 Wearing the Uniform—or Neat in Appearance

It is preferred a Scout be in full field uniform for any board of review. He should wear as much of it as he owns, and it should be as correct as possible, with the badges worn properly. It may be the uniform as the members of his troop, team, crew, or ship wear it. If wearing all or part of the uniform is impractical for whatever reason, the candidate should be clean and neat in his appearance and dressed appropriately, according to his means, for the milestone marked by the occasion. Regardless of unit, district, or council expectations or rules, boards of review shall not reject candidates solely for reasons related to uniforming or attire, as long as they are dressed to the above description. Candidates shall not be required to purchase uniforming or clothing such as coats and ties to participate in a board of review.

Planning Meeting:

Planning meeting is set for August 13, at 1pm at Mr. Witt's house. Be thinking of ideas you want to do and write them down and either e-mail or text me, or one of the other leaders. Remember there is almost nothing we can’t do, but some need more planning than others. After the meeting, weather permitting, we will be hanging out at the pool. So bring swim attire and sunscreen.

Eagle Scout Project:

Kostya Y. has scheduled his Eagle Project Work Day for August 19th. Please mark this on your calendar. Time and location to be TBA

Eagle Point Kick-Back Camping Trip:

Eagle Point August 25th through 27th. The cost will be $30.00. Come out and join us for a GREAT “Kick-back Weekend”.

Order of the Arrow Service Weekend:

OA service weekend September 15th through 17th. Members are encouraged to sign up now. Come out and give some cheerful service.

The Fall Service Weekend is scheduled for September 15-17, 2017. Registration begins July 31st. Current members who register by August 27th will receive a $5 Early Bird Discount. The deadline for registration is September 10th ($10 late fee added for any registrations received after September 3rd). More information is available at the online registration link, above.

The Printable Registration Form above is NOT to be used by new Ordeal Candidates nor by those members eligible to attain Brotherhood status. Special invitations with registration forms will be sent separately via US Mail to people in these groups.

Brunswick Stew – Fall 2017:

It’s getting that time of year again, “STEW” start selling and keep us up to date on your count please. We will be at the FOP lodge on September 22nd and 23rd.

Winter Camp 2018:

Winter Camp, January 12th through the 15th. Let me know ASAP. We have 5 scouts committed to attend so far. Great place and time to earn merit badges.

Kroger Cards:

If you have not done so, please register your KROGER card. This is an easy way for us to raise funds for our Troop. To date, we have had 12 people signed up. Please get friends, family, co-workers, etc…. to sign up. If you need help signing up please see Mr. Ward
