The annual planning meeting will take place on Sunday, September 9th 5:00 PM at Scoutmaster's Slickers house. If you have any ideas for weekend outings and cannot attend please send a note to the Scoutmaster at Scoutmaster@troop555.net. The Scoutmaster will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs, he asks for the other adult leaders to please bring a side item.

The meeting on September 11th will have a Flag Retirement Ceremony. Please wear full class A uniforms which includes your shirt, scout pants or shorts, belt, neckerchief and BSA uniform socks.
September PLC is scheduled for Thursday, September 13th at 7:30 PM in the Carson Building. If you are an officer and are unable to attend you must notify the Scoutmaster. We will work on September and October Meetings. Please go to link below, and come to the meeting prepared.

Camping trip and Crabtree Falls hike. We will leave Friday, September 14th and return Sunday, September 16th. The highlight of the trip will be a hike up Crabtree falls. The mountains are calling and we must go. Sign-ups and meal planning on Tuesday, September 11th.
Tom Carr requests your help to assist with clean up from the ceiling collapse at the Friends of Police Lodge off of Shady Grove Rd by I-295. He is looking for adult leaders and older scouts to remove the debris. If you not going on the Crabtree Falls campout please come and do your good deed for the day. Please meet at the lodge at 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 15th.
Fall Court of Honor will take place on Tuesday, September 18th at 6:30 PM. Dinner begins at 6:30 PM with the ceremony to follow. All family and friends are welcome. Scouts should be dressed in full uniform with Merit Badge Sash. Parents this is your opportunity to see your son honored for his achievements during the last six months. Diane Francis is organizing a Mexican theme dinner. Please contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to help with the organization of the dinner. Scouts please be prepared to show up early and or stay after to help setup/ cleanup.
Fall Youth Leader Elections are on Tuesday, September 25th. Scouts please think seriously about your other commitments and be sure you have the time and willingness to serve as an officer of the troop.
Fall Stew is Coming – September 28th. We will be cooking up another 1,000 quarts. The cost is still $6 a piece. Please get ready to sell and get your orders in so you don't get shutout. Remember many hands make light work.
Do you want to be more involved with the Troop but don’t want to go camping? Please consider joining the committee. The Troop Committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM. Duties include budget, advancement, fund raising and leadership review.
If you have any current merit badge books that you are willing to part with– Please donate them to our troop library.
The 2013 Boy Scout Jamboree is coming. Please join our four scouts who are planning to attend. For more information please goto: https://summit.scouting.org/en/Pages/default.aspx. The costs are $1,200 for youth, $850 for adults and the deal of the century $425 for youth staff ages 16 to 24.
