Thank you to all that attended last Ben Tehan’s Eagle Project. I can’t wait until the trail is finished and the troop can walk over the bridge we made.

Oceana Air Show Weekend - September 23- 25. Pray for sun. We will meet at 6:00 PM on Friday September 23. The troop will camp two nights at First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach. We will plan to attend the air show on Saturday, September 24. The cost is $15, please bring extra money for lunch at the air show and any souvenirs you wish to purchase. Bring your class A shirt and short/pants, a swimsuit and towel. Raingear maybe a good idea too. We should return around 3:00 PM on Sunday. See permission slip.

Fall Elections are September 27. If you are interested in a leadership position (SPL, ASPL, Patrol Leaders, Scribe, Quartermaster etc) please write a few sentences expressing why you wish to serve in the position. If elected the Troop Leadership training is scheduled for 10/15 at 12:00 PM.

Fall Stew is September 30th at the Fraternal Order of Police lodge. All hands are needed for chicken picking Friday night at 6:00 PM ET and dipping Saturday morning at 7:00 AM ET. Scouts please invite a friend. Every scout should be able to attend stew for at least a little while!! Many hands make light work. Even if you have not sold any stew, you can still earn money for your scout account making the stew.

Appalachian Trail One or Two Night Backpacking Trek - October 8 - 10. Ms Coffey will be leading a trip into the mountains. If you have never gone on the AT you are missing a great adventure among the beautiful mountains.

October PLC is scheduled for October 13 at 7:30 PM at the Carson Building. If you are an officer and are unable to attend you must notify the Scoutmaster. We will work on October Meetings. We are doing High Adventure for the October theme. Please go to link below.

OA Merit Badge Weekend – October 21 – 23. We will be camping behind the Mechanicsville VFW (Cold Harbour Rd at Bell Creek Road). Leaders if you are a merit badge counselor, the OA members organizing the weekend need your help.

Scouting for Food Bags In and Bags Out are scheduled for October 29th and November 5th. Please make time in your schedule to help with this very important service project. We will meet at Northside Baptist Church on Studley Rd at 9:30 AM each Saturday. We should finish around 12:00 PM.
