Please remember that our Court of Honor is next Tuesday at 6:30. Families and Friends are encouraged to attend. Several special announcements and presentations are in order.
* Rough Riders: Please bring a Dessert
* Rabid Wolves and FireFox patrols, please bring a side.
* Bring enough to serve double your family.
* The troop is providing the main course and drinks.
We have two eagle projects in the near future:
From Stephen Kelley:
Stephen Kelley's Eagle Project will be taking place on Saturday, September 6th; from 9-4:30 pm. We will be constructing a playground for the kids of a local church, so please bring work gloves, safety glasses, and other basic construction equipment (power drills, wrenches, etc.) if you can. Lunch and drinks will be provided. This is an ambitious project so please try and find time to come, I will need all the help I can get.
The church is Mechanicsville Presbyterian Church; it's address is 7339 Atlee Road, Mechanicsville. Here is a link to it on mapquest - http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Mechanicsville&state=VA&address=7339+Atlee+Rd&zipcode=23111-1731&country=US&latitude=37.607348&longitude=-77.373869&geocode=ADDRESS.
Here is a list of some tools that we are in short supply of and will be using at my Eagle Project next Saturday (the 6th). Please attach this to the previous information on the troop e-mail about my eagle project:
"Electric Drills (2) with Phillips screw bits
Drill bits in these sizes (3/16'', 3/8'', 5/16'', and 7/16'')
Sockets in these sizes (9/16'', and 1/2'')
Screwdrivers (Medium Phillips)
Circular Power Saw with an outside extension cord
If any volunteers could bring some of these tools that would be of great help, all other tools not listed here are ones that we have enough of. Thank you for your assistance."
Only a few people signed up to help last meeting. Please come and help if you are able to, I need a lot of manpower for this project!
Charles Gowan's Eagle project is September 13th. September 13th at 9:00 AM at Ashland Coffee and Tea. Pizza will be provided as well as gloves. Wear shoes and socks you don't mind getting dirty.
Cub Scout Back to School Night is Thursday September 11th at Rural Point School. We need to help out the Pack and recruit our next generation of scouts. Please plan to help out if you can.
