Lots is going on with the troop - many exciting events coming up.

Next Tuesday night is our regular meeting. First meeting of the month means the committee will be meeting for advancement. It also means uniform inspection - Full Class A's

Next Wednesday the Hanover Board of Supervisors will be issuing a proclamation for Sam Johnson. The meeting starts at 7:00 December 8th in the Board Meeting Room of the Administration Building at the Hanover County Complex.

Our Popcorn Kernel would like you to get your popcorn money in as soon as possible.

The next Saturday (December 11th) the troop will go to the Spy Museum in Washington. Please make sure the leaders know you will be attending as we need to make sure we have enough drivers. There is a fairly high entrance fee for the museum, so be prepared for about $30 or so in admissions and fees. We will need the money in advance in order to be ready to by the tickets.

A few things to be thinking about in the near (and not so near) future.

The Nawakwa OA Carillon Service Project is on December 22-23.

In January and February the council will hold the Patrick Henry Public Speaking merit badge program. This takes place January 22, 29 & February 5th. See the Scoutmaster, or another leader for more details.

Summer Camp is July 10-16. The troop has already made commitments. If you are interested in Summer Camp, the troop would like the first deposit of $100 toward the fee by the end of February.

Advice from the Scoutmaster: Be prepared - Have backups for everything!

Please remember that Troop meetings start promptly at 7:30. Leaders are there from about 7:15 and Scouts can gather and take advantage of this time to talk to the leaders. Please don't wait until the end of the meeting for advancement sing-off. If you are leaving the meeting early, please make sure the scoutmaster or an assistant scoutmaster know you are leaving so we won’t go looking for you.
