Since Memorial Day is the kickoff for summer; Class Bs (Scout T-Shirts) are allowed to be worn to our Tuesday night meetings. However; please wear your Class A uniform for the 1st meeting each month 6/5, 7/3 and 8/7. There will be a uniform inspection on those nights.

Please join us Memorial Day Weekend to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. Troop 555 will be placing flags (aka Flags Out) in front of each grave marker at Cold Harbor National Cemetery on Friday May 25th at 5:00 PM. On Monday (Memorial Day) May 28th at 5:00 PM, we will collect the flags (aka Flags In) we put out at the Cemetery.

Cowboy Camping /Horsemanship Weekend – June 1 – 3. FINAL SIGN-UP was TUESDAY, MAY 22nd. The troop will travel to Ford, Virginia (Dinwiddie County) to camp and work on the Horsemanship merit badge at the "Bar Creek Ranch" Equestrian Center. The plan is to “sleep under the stars” weather permitting. There is also a pond onsite that will be available for fishing. We will meet at the Carson Building at 6:30 pm on Friday, June 1st. We will return to the Carson Building at 12:00 on Sunday, June 3rd. Cost $35 for the program, the Troop will cover the food costs. Trailer loading and meal planning next meeting....come with some ideas.

Scouts please be sure and attend the meeting on Tuesday, June 5th. We will be holding Order of the Arrow (Boy Scouting’s Honor Society) Elections on that night. If we do not have at least 50% attendance the election cannot take place.

June PLC is scheduled for Thursday, June 7th at 7:30 PM at the Carson Building. If you are an officer and are unable to attend you must notify the Scoutmaster. We will work on June and July Meetings. Please go to link below.

Ben Tehan’s Eagle Court of Honor is scheduled for Saturday, June 9th at 4:00 PM at New Hanover. More details will be posted in future updates.

No Scout Meeting on Tuesday, June 12th due to exam week. There will be an adult leaders meeting.

Do you want to be more involved with the Troop but don’t want to go camping? Please consider joining the committee. The Troop Committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM. Duties include budget, advancement, fundraising and leadership review.

If you have any current merit badge books that you are willing to part with– Please donate them to our troop library
