Cowboy Camping /Horsemanship Weekend – June 1 – 3. FINAL SIGN-UP is TUESDAY, MAY 22nd. The troop will travel to Ford, Virginia (Dinwiddie County) to camp and work on the Horsemanship merit badge at the "Barlin Ranch" Equestrian Center. The plan is to “sleep under the stars” weather permitting. There is also a pond onsite that will be available for fishing. More information will be made available regarding the trip in the coming weeks! Cost $35 for the program, the Troop will cover the food costs.

May PLC is scheduled for Thursday, May 17th at 7:30 PM at the Carson Building. If you are an officer and are unable to attend you must notify the Scoutmaster. We will work on May and June Meetings. Please go to link below.

Order of the Arrow Summer Service Weekend is scheduled for May 18-20, 2012. Please honor your membership and attend.

Order of the Arrow Fundraiser – Noodles and Company at Bell Creek Commons in Mechanicsville. 25% of sales will go to Chapter 5 of the Order of the Arrow. The funds will be used to purchase new headdresses for the ceremony team. Please see attachment.

Please join us Memorial Day Weekend to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. Troop 555 will be placing flags (aka Flags Out) in front of each grave marker at Cold Harbour National Cemetery on Friday May 25th at 5:00 PM. On Monday (Memorial Day) May 28th at 5:00 PM, we will collect the flags (aka Flags In) we put out at the Cemetery.

Ben Tehan’s Eagle Court of Honor is scheduled for Saturday, June 9th at 4:00 PM at New Hanover. More details will be posted in future updates.

Do you want to be more involved with the Troop but don’t want to go camping? Please consider joining the committee. The Troop Committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM. Duties include budget, advancement, fundraising and leadership review.
