Congratulations to Stephen C. who bridged to the troop Tuesday night – Welcome!

Camp Albright Trip - This Weekend: We have planned for an overnight camping trip to the Camp Albright Scout Reservation in Chesterfield County. Meals were planned on Tuesday night and we are looking for a weekend of great weather. Scouts should plan to arrive at 8:00 am on Saturday, May 16th for departure from the Carson Building. Anticipated return on Sunday, May 17th will be 12: 30 pm. The Permission Slip for the trip is attached. Please contact Mr. Elliott ( or Mr. Tehan ( with any questions.

Patrol Olympics continue next Tuesday – an event you do not want to miss!

We have a tradition with Troop 555 to put flags out at the Cold Harbor National Cemetery for the Memorial Day weekend. At 5 PM on Friday (May 22nd) we meet at the cemetery to put a flag in front of each grave marker. It is truly a sight to see when we are done. On Monday (May 25th) at 5 PM we return to retrieve the flags. This is service time for those who need it, a troop event, and a great project. Here is a link to the cemetery's web page for more information and directions ->

The Summer Camp Merit Badge list was passed out at the meeting. Those going to summer camp should let Mrs. Coffey know what badges they want to take.

OA Elections are in Two Weeks!

From B Ward

1. Jamboree Spaces still open, however they are filling fast.

2. Summer Camp Medical forms need to be turned in.

Special Note: If you are leaving the meeting early, please make sure the scoutmaster or an assistant scoutmaster know you are leaving so we won’t go looking for you.

Advice from the Scoutmaster: A strong rope is made up of many individual strands, each carrying some of the weight – so it is with a strong patrol and a strong troop – we all share the load and together we are stronger than any of us separately.

Upcoming Events:

· 5/16 & 17 – Camping Trip to Camp Albright

· 6/2– Charles G’s Court of Honor (this is a change of date)

Please remember that Troop meetings start promptly at 7:30. Leaders are there from about 7:15 and Scouts can gather and take advantage of this time to talk to the leaders.
