What makes a Box Turtle a Box Turtle? If you don’t know you missed the meeting!

Welcome Liam S. Our newest scout!

Tonight (Wednesday March 10th) the Hanover County Board of Supervisors will meet and there is a Proclamation on the schedule for David R.’s Eagle Scout. The Event starts at 7:00 and all are welcome. This is a Full Class A event!

Thursday night is PLC. All scouts are invited for planning the next events, including something special for next Tuesday (see below)! 7:00 at the Carson Building.

Next Tuesday, (March 16th) we will be having Webelo visitors. Let's make sure they feel welcome. Mr. Elliott is planning a Flag Retirement Ceremony! If you have flags that are in need of retirement, please bring them. This is always a moving ceremony.

The troop has received a request for a few scouts to participate in a Flag Ceremony with the Courthouse Ruritan on March 22nd. There is food involved! This will count as service hours. See Mrs. Coffey for details. (This is the group that has supported the troop for many many years by providing our BIG POT for stew!)

Parents are encouraged to attend our meeting March 23rd (standard Tuesday meeting) so we can begin planning for Sea Base!!! Please come, even if you are not sure you will be going or sending a scout. We need all the help we can get for planning, fundraising, and logistic support!

Mr. Ward is walking the Ukrop’s 10K. Come on down to cheer him on!

If you haven’t already brought in your stew money – please get it in! There are a few quarts of stew left. Contact Mr. Carr. First come First Serve – When they’re gone – they’re gone!

We are a class A Troop! That means that we wear Class A’s to meetings and all outings. Please remember to wear your Class A’s. (This will make a difference in your ability to participate, get elected/appointed to leadership positions, and to advance!)

Summer Camp is around the corner - make sure we know if you are going!

Advice from the Scoutmaster: Keep an optimistic attitude. Wake up every morning and ask your self – How can I make this a good day?!.
