Hey there folks, sorry for two updates but I wanted to make sure the PLC reminder got to folks out before the meeting because…..

Congratulations to our new leaders!

· SP L – Seamus M.

· ASPL - Bryan E.

· Scribe – Fox S.

· Historian – John A.

· PL – Rough Riders – Mikey V.

· PL – Rabid Wolves – Will M.

Please remember that there will be a PLC this Thursday night, April 2nd at 7:30.

Elections were a bit different this time. There are still some appointed positions open (librarian & quartermaster and some others) so if you would like to be a leader please let the scoutmaster know.

There will be no meeting next week – Hanover County is on Spring Break. Our next meeting will be Tuesday April 14th. The committee will be meeting that evening as well.

This weekend we are camping out a good old T. Brady Saunders (Well technically at Douglas Fleet) . Thanks to Mrs. Coffey for putting this trip together and to all the leaders who are helping out. This should be a great trip. A permission slip was already sent. The troop is gathering for departure Saturday morning at 7:30 AM and should return about 6:00 PM Sunday. Some folks are bringing bicycles and have already made arrangements. Others can bring bicycles, but they need to arrange for their own transportation to camp. (Everyone should leave from the church Saturday morning.) Helmets are required for all cyclists – no exceptions. All scouts should bring a day pack, there will be a hike around camp! (Mrs. Coffey knows these trails better than anyone – really!)

The AT trip has been rescheduled for the weekend of 4/17-4/19. Please check your calendars and be ready to make firm commitments and do planning at our next meeting on April 14th! Mr. Manley is helping to take the lead on this trip, but I’m sure he would welcome help!

White water trip information was given out and the meeting and a copy of the form was e-mailed as well. (Note: the tentative dates on the form should be July 13, 20 & 27). Please bring back these forms at our next meeting, April 14th! The trip and the date will with the most votes will be the one we plan. Please indicate the trip preferred and the dates you will commit to. If you are not going to be at the meeting, you may reply to this e-mail with your preferences. (But you should come to the meeting anyway – remember we’re planning for the AT weekend!)

Summer Camp is closer than you think - Make sure your med form is up to date. There is a new Med form that will be required soon, so you might want to get it done. It is available at: http://www.scouting.org/filestore/pdf/34605_Letter.pdf

Advice from the Scoutmaster minute – Dedication makes an impression!

Upcoming Events:

· 4/4-4/5 - New Scout Camping trip.

· 4/17-19 - AT Trip (rescheduled)

· 4/26 – 2:00 Kurt G.’s Eagle Court of Honor

· 5/3 - 4:00 - Stephen K’s Eagle Court of Honor

Please remember that Troop meetings start promptly at 7:30. Leaders are there from about 7:15 and Scouts can gather and take advantage of this time to talk to the leaders.
