Thanks to Tom Carr who showed us how to recognize a stroke victim and thanks to Mr. Catlett for showing us the mechanics of small gasoline engines.

There is no meeting on Tuesday 6/28 due to Vacation Bible School.

There is a family outing on Tuesday 6/28 to go to the Flying Squirrels game. Those with tickets will meet at the Diamond.

The tickets are general admission let's meet in section 215. There are 25 people attending. If you didn’t get your order in you may still come on down and purchase tickets at the gate. If you have any additional questions please call Tom at 804-678-8245.

July 5th is the first meeting of the month. Please wear full class A uniforms.

Order of the Arrow Elections will be held on 7/5 promptly at 7:30. Order of the Arrow is the honor society of the Scouts. We need every scout that is available that night to attend. If 50% of the troop is not available then the elections ca nnot take place. Patrol leaders call your Patrols.

JAMES RIVER RAFTING TRIP is booked for Saturday, July 31 at 9:00 AM.

This will be a day trip. The cost of trip is $60/person. We need on 7/5 a final headcount. Currently we have two rafts reserved for a total of 12. If more Scouts/Leaders are interested we can reserve another raft. If you cannot attend the meeting on July 5th and would like to attend please e-mail the scoutmaster at Scoutmaster@troop555.

The River Trip is the perfect trip for first time paddlers ages 9 and up. The trip takes you down the upper section of the James River with rapids ranging from class I-II.


Troop 555 Summer Camp at T Brady Saunders 7/10 – 7/16.

Final Payments are due. Our treasurer, Mr. Ames states that most boys have enough money in their scout account to cover the payment.
