We are back with a fun activity, a Fire Sale. The boys will team up and with a strict budget attempt to purchase materials to build a fire. The first team to burn through a wooden dowel wins. Scouts please bring a flashlight proper clothing and maybe a camp chair. And always bring your books.
Leaders please bring the following:
Lint from your dryer's lint trap
Dry branches (0.75" and smaller); no more than a bucket's worth
We will need 7-9 parents/leaders to help monitor the activity the night of the meeting
Committee Members please attend this week's meeting 1/29/2013, we have two Scouts conducting their District Eagle Board Review.
Saturday, February 9th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM we will hold Advancement Day. Scouts and leaders will be teaching knots, map and compass, first aid and other requirements the Scouts need to advance to First Class.
Spring Stew is Friday, March 1st. Stew cost is still $6. Please sell and bring your preliminary totals weekly to the meeting. Do not wait until a week before to give your order to the Troop. If you wait you might get shutout.
Preliminary commitments are needed for Summer Camp at T. Brady Saunders. Please talk with your Scouts about this camp. We need to get our reservation in soon for the best campsites.
Summer Camp July 7 – 13 cost $285
Merit Badges, Traiblazers for new scouts, COPE and Ranger's Challenge for older scouts, Floating Iceburg, water activities and new water chute.
Do you want to be more involved with the Troop but don’t want to go camping? Please consider joining the committee. The Troop Committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM. Duties include budget, advancement, fund raising and leadership review.
If you have any current merit badge books that you are willing to part with– Please donate them to our troop library.
