Lots of announcements this evening -- but first, congratulations to Seamus M on earning his Eagle rank! Way to go, Seamus!
Last Saturday was the troop hike at the Petersburg Battlefield. Five intrepid souls made the ten mile hike. Thanks again to Mr. Ward for setting this up!
Stew is closer than you think -- February 26 and 27. Stew coupons make great Valentine's gifts!
An important note from Mr. McKittrick:
We need some adults to go through the short health department training in late February or early March so we can continue the stew. They can call me at 746-1804 to get information and volunteer. - Mr. McKittrick
There is a PLC this Thursday, January 14th at 7:30. If you are a troop leader, you're expected. If you have ideas about things for the troop to do at meetings, you're welcome. Come ahead!
David R’s Eagle Scout Ceremony is January 23rd at 2:00 at the church. Rehearsal is at 1:00. Be on time - this is the only rehearing we will do for this ceremony.
The Klondike Derby is on January 30th. We will check out the sleds at next week's meeting. Please come ready to commit to the derby, so we can take care of preparations.
We have a new way to celebrate the birthday of scouting next month - four historical merit badges that you can earn this year! Signaling, Pathfinding, Tracking, and Carpentry all come out of retirement for this year only. Ben Ward has the details.
Coming soon - commitments and down payments for this year's summer camp. Don't be surprised when you hear us talking about this again in the next few weeks. Believe it or not, with the temperature sitting at 24 degrees as I type this, summer is just around the corner!
Advice from the Scoutmaster: Are you a wolf or an eagle? Feed your inner eagle - be an honorable man!
