This month's program theme is Sports.
August 16th we are going to try to see the Flying Squirrels game. If you still have your tickets from our June attempt please exchange them at the team's ticket office. This is a family event and all parents and siblings are welcome. Please meet at 6:45 pm at the ticket office or outside the gate.
August 23rd please bring your bicycle and helmet.
August PLC is scheduled for August 18 at 7:30 PM at the Carson Building. If you are an officer and unable to attend please notify the Scoutmaster. We will work on August and September Meetings. The August theme is Sports and Shooting in September. Please go to links below.

JP Ames Eagle Project is scheduled for 8:00 AM (please note the new time ) on August 20th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Annual Planning Meeting is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 21st. All leaders, adult and youth are strongly encouraged to attend. Please tell your youth leaders of activities you would like to do next year. If you have any questions please contact the Scoutmaster.
JAMES RIVER RAFTING TRIP has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 10th.
This will be a day trip. The cost of trip is $60/person. Currently we have two rafts reserved for a total of 12. If more Scouts/Leaders are interested we can reserve another raft. The River Trip is the perfect trip for first time paddlers ages 9 and up. The trip takes you down the upper section of the James River with rapids ranging from class I-II. http://www.rivercityraft.com/
Oceana Air Show Weekend - September 23- 25. The troop will camp two nights at First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach. We will plan to attend the airshow on Saturday, September 24. The cost is $15. The boys will need to bring extra money to purchase food / souvenirs at the air show. More details to come.
