We had a great time Tuesday night. The boys got to go out on the water as many times as they wanted. I would like to thank Weedon Cloe for setting up the meeting. I would also like to thank all those who brought equipment for the boys to use.

August PLC is scheduled for Thursday, August 16th (THIS IS A CHANGE) at 7:30 PM at the Carson Building. If you are an officer and are unable to attend you must notify the Scoutmaster. We will work on August and September Meetings. Please go to link below, and come to the meeting prepared.

Chesterfield Historical Society is teaching a couple of merit badges in August (Archaeology 8/21 and Citizenship in the Nation 8/18). Please go to their online calendar for more details.

Kickback camping weekend 8/24 – 8/26 at Eagle Point. Please sign up, there is no better way to end your summer than at the shore of the Kerr Reservoir, swimming, fishing, stargazing and usually the best camp cooking of the year.

Fall Stew is Coming – September 28th. We will be cooking up another 1,000 quarts. The cost is still $6 a piece. Please get ready to sell and get your orders in so you don't get shutout.

Do you want to be more involved with the Troop but don’t want to go camping? Please consider joining the committee. The Troop Committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM. Duties include budget, advancement, fund raising and leadership review.

If you have any current merit badge books that you are willing to part with– Please donate them to our troop library.

The 2013 Boy Scout Jamboree is coming. Please join our four scouts who are planning to attend. For more information please goto: https://summit.scouting.org/en/Pages/default.aspx. The costs are $1,200 for youth, $850 for adults and the deal of the century $425 for youth staff ages 16 to 24.
