Eric D. thanks all those who helped with his Eagle Project.

Mr. Elliotts Beading Ceremony was a great success. Congratulations on completing Wood Badge! Training, advancement and recognition is really important for scouts and leaders alike!

There is a PLC Thursday night April 15th at 7:30. All scouts with leadership positions should be there. Attending PLC is a critical part of every leadership position’s responsibility.

On Saturday, April 17th, Troop 555 will welcome new scouts into the troop from Pack 544. The bridging will be at the Cub Adventure Camp next to Brady Saunders.

Mr. Kelley will leave from the Carson building at 4:45 for those who would like to car pool and travel with him to the bridging ceremony. The ceremony starts at 7:00. It would be nice to have a representation from the troop to welcome the new scouts. Pack 544 has invited all participants for dinner. To get a head count of those planning to attend for dinner please call Mr. Kelley at 559-5153 and let him know you will be coming.

Our newly elected leaders need the position guide books, If you have just completed a position, please bring the book back so it can be passed along to the new leader.

We will be camping at the end of the month. More details to come, but this is going to be a great trip with Fishing and advancement possibilities. Plan to attend!

Global Youth Service Day is an annual campaign that celebrates and mobilizes the millions of children and youth who improve their communities each day of the year through service and service-learning. Established in 1988, GYSD is the largest service event in the world and is now celebrated in over 100 countries. On GYSD, children and youth address the world’s most critical issues in partnership with families, schools, community and faith-based organizations, businesses, and governments. We will be participating with a Shed Clean-up on May 24th. All scouts and leaders are needed. Lunch will be provided.

We need commitments for Summer Camp and Seabase. See a leader!

Advice from the Scoutmaster: While failure can belong to those who try and those who don’t Success only belongs to those who take the initiative to try! Try something!
