Merit badges can be earned (usually with some pre-work) during Jambo, which occurs every other year (usually 1-2 badges) and Summer Camp (up to five badges).
The Troop will organize one or two merit badge activities during the year. For more information on advancements or how to earn badges go to http://www.meritbadge.com or talk to one of the Troop leaders.
Most everything you
need to understand advancement is in your scout book. If you have questions, ask a Troop Leader or go to http://www.meritbadge.com.
It is the Scout’s responsibility to have each requirement signed by a leader – usually after a Troop meeting or during a camping event. The Troop will also organize some specific activities to help fulfill the requirements. The best time to do most activities needed for a requirement is during camping.
Any and all parents are always
welcomed to attend one or more meetings.
It is also a good place to raise any questions, concerns, or suggestionsBoards of Review for rank advancement (except Eagle) will be on nights when there is a troop meeting. Scouts are to notify
the scoutmaster one week before review and must wear Class A uniforms and have their handbook with them.
