Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 497 of Baylor University, located in Waco, Texas. We meet on Monday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00 PM (Opening Ceremony promptly at 7:00 PM) at Baylor University Eastland Lakes Challenge Course in Waco.
The mission of Boy Scout Troop 497 is to instill in boys and young men ethical values, moral strength and character, and leadership capabilities in a Christian environment.

Troop 497 was chartered in 1991 due to Baylor President Herbert Reynolds’ passion for scouting. The Boy Scout's focus on creating men of character, leadership, and civic involvement matches precisely with the vision of Baylor University.
