Why You Should Join Troop 3
Boy Scout Troop 3 in Morrisville, Pa. is the oldest troop in Bucks County. Less than a mile from the Delaware River, we take advantage of the rich history not only in our county (which George Washington often slept in), but also in New Jersey and nearby Philadelphia. Bucks County offers beautiful wild areas to explore and we like to get outside and do just that whenever weather permits.
We plan monthly campouts and trips all year long both nearby and further afield. The scouts receive hands-on training in many areas including first aid, water safety, archery, shooting, camping skills and much more.
Troop 3 scouts play a big roll in planning their activities on their way to completing the top goal of any scout – the Eagle badge. Dedicated parents and scout leaders give their time to help the scouts achieve their goals, whether they include earning merit badges or gaining the skills it takes to make themselves into leaders.
But most of all, Troop 3 is fun for scouts and parents alike, building friendships that last a lifetime.
