The Scouting program encourages Scouts to learn and practice leadership skills. Every Scout has the opportunity to participate in both shared and total leadership situations. Understanding the concepts of leadership and becoming a servant leader helps a Scout accept the leadership role of others and guides them towards participating citizenship and character development. The Troop helps teach them these leadership skills using some of courses that are listed below. Click on the link if you want to find out more.
Every Scout deserves a trained leader
Common sense tells us that training is important, and research shows the importance of trained leaders. A trained leader is knowledgeable and more confident in the role being performed and is better prepared to make the Scouting program all it can be! A lot of adult leader training can be completed online. These courses explain the scout program in detail and the does and donts. There are also further training opportunties available that help teach outdoor skills. Click on the links below if you want to find out more.
