FIRST YEAR SCOUT BASICS

Meetings
How to Dress:
Class A Uniform - Labor Day through Memorial Day and while traveling.
(Class A Scout Shirt and Neckerchief, Tie Slide, Scout Belt and Fob, Blue Jeans or Scout shorts, Scout socks.) 
 
Class B Uniform - Labor Day through Memorial Day and while traveling.
(Scout T-Shirt, Scout Belt and Fob, Blue Jeans or Scout shorts, Scout socks.) 
What to Bring:
Scout Book
Paper Pen
 
Campouts
If you are to leave early or arrive late be sure the Scoutmaster knows before departure.

What to Bring:
Sleeping Bag
Sleep Pad
Pillow
Flashlight
Scout Book
Extra socks
Extra Jeans
Weather appropriate Jacket or Coat
Rain Jacket or Poncho
Mess Kit or Plate and Silverware
Water Bottle or Hydration backpack.
Personal Hygiene items.
Medicine - Any medication should be in original packages, placed in a ziptop bag with dosage information and instructions with the scout's name on the outside and turned into the acting "Medicine Man".
What NOT to Bring:
No knives until you pass Totin Chip Class.  Knives must be approved by the Scoutmaster. 
Cell phone use is prohibited on Campouts.  Leaders have phones if needed.
MAKE SURE YOU KNOW YOUR PHONE NUMBER BY HEART!
Soda pop is prohibited at Summer Camp and on Campouts.
