Hi Scouts and Parents,

With the 2017 summer camp behind us, it is time for  Troop 122 scouts to be thinking about 2018 summer camp.

106 Camp Minsi Road
Pocono Summit, PA 18346

Camp Workcoeman-Connecticut Rivers Council
169 Camp Workcoeman Road
New Hartford, CT 06057

These are 3 great camps with great programs. Please look over the  2017 Leaders Guides for information but realize listed prices will most likely increase for the 2018 year and activities listed are what was offered this summer, and could be subject to change.

*Troop 122 has camped at Bashore Scout Reservation each time they have went to Hershey Park.
*Camp Minsi was a favorite summer camp among our scouts from past years
*Troop 122 last attended Camp Workcoeman, one of the oldest traditional Boy Scout camps in the USA, in 2010 and was given positive reviews by all.

Voting will take place at the Summer Court of Honor on Thursday August 31st at the VFW . If your scout is unable to attend the Summer Court of Honor but he would still like to vote, please have him email his camp choice to Mr. Ramirez prior to August 31st for his vote to be counted in. Last Minute Summer Camp Reminders (repeat)

Dear Scouts and Parents,

Just a few last minute reminders about Summer Camp.  Make sure you have purchased your merit badge books and looked them over.  Also, make sure you have your prerequisites finished and signed off by a counselor or a signed note from your parents.  I can not tell a counselor at camp the prerequisites are finished without proof.

Make sure you have your list of merit badges you are taking along with the times.  This is your responsibility.  If you forget this info, you will have to work it out with the counselors at camp - a good exercise in problem solving and responsibility.

New Scouts remember to bring money for any kits you need and clothing for the swimming merit badge.  All scouts please look at the equipment list given out with your merit badge info.  Check and make sure you have what you need.  Also, all scouts remember to take your scout manuals in order to get requirements signed off.

Please Note: Cell phones and electronic games will be allowed on the drive up and back from camp.  Upon arrival at camp, all cell phones and games will be collected and stored in our trailer.  We are following the camp's rules.  If you have any questions, please call (732) 671-8769
