his little shovel, trying to shovel and the snow banks are over his head. He
throws down his shovel, raises his arms to the sky and yells " Jesus, make it
I feel just like that little boy about now with another round of snow

Tewksbury, 6:00pm. Remember come anytime 6:00pm is just a starting point. We

TriFury will be participating in the Max Performance Tri Club Challenge. Max Performance consistently puts on great races which always include the following:
- safe friendly races
- post-race food festival
- sponsor giveaways at each race including wetsuits
Tri fury members are eligible for discounted registrations for the following Max Performance races:
To be eligible for the $10 discount you must use the discount code when registering (contact email@example.com for this code). The codes will expire one month prior to each event! There is an entry field for TriFury Athletes to input their Tri Club Team Name.
Further, if TriFury meets a minimum of 12 participants at these races the club will be eligible for the Tri Club Challenge, which could mean great year-end monetary prizes and awards for the club.
Each of these 3 races has been designated as a TriFury Spirit race this year http://www.trifury.com/activities/selected-events, meaning we'll be there with the TriFury tent and some fun surprises.
You need not enter all 3 races to help the club, chose any you like, each helping the club, The first of the three races, the Season Opener is on the same date as the JCC Tri by the Sea but should also have a good number of TriFurians there since its such a great event, has an open water swim, and is reasonably priced with our discount.

an effort to attend, should be a great afternoon.
Somehow we missed the memo regarding this year's
USAT Competition, so I have some data entry days to make up for as it began on
Basically it is the same routine as last year, if you
are interested in participating, please let me know ASAP
included with your enthusiastic 'yes', I will need the following information:
first name, last name, age as December 1st, your USAT number and your gender.
Also, since it's already the end of the first week, I will need your miles now,
too (for 12/1 to present) - please and thank you.
You also have the
option of entering your own miles, but I need to add you to the roster first and
will need the information requested above to do that. If you do opt to submit
your own miles, please do not send them to me as well so that we may avoid
You may recall that each month has a focus: December is
swimming, January is biking and February is running...however, there is also an
ongoing competition for overall miles, so please submit all
week. In addition to the swim/bike/run, xcountry skiing and elliptical miles
are also tallied. Swimming can be entered in yards, meters or miles, so you
don't need to convert them, the program will do it for us...like magic. (but do
let me know which you are using b/c I am not quite as magical I'm
We are in Division 1 due to our overall club size so we can use
all of the help we can get - literally every mile counts, so don't feel as
though you shouldn't bother participating b/c you keep a light schedule in the
winter...that one mile on the treadmill might bump us up to the next spot!
Miles need to be submitted at least once per week as there is a cut off
now for entry and if we miss it, we can't go back and add miles. I will send
out a reminder on Fridays (like today!) in the least harassing manner possible.
And since we're talking harassment, if you don't see your miles up on the site a
couple days after submitting them to me, don't hesitate to let me know, I know
last year there were a couple emails that wound up in my spam folder
If you want to find out more about the competition, or to keep
an eye on our/your status, please check out the site http://www.race-tracker.net/usat/index.cfm

last evening's Board meeting the 2014 Selected Race schedule was discussed. At
the September 2013 Board Meeting, there was agreement that the 2014 Selected
Race schedule should be finalized prior to the end of the year, so that it
provided sufficient time for members to map out their race schedules. The
members at the meeting agreed that we would produce an initial list of races
that will be included in next year's schedule
(unless there is sufficient feedback from membership to remove the race). All of
the races listed below met the minimum criteria for inclusion for next year. If
the race is not listed below (and was on the 2013 calendar, example Timberman
Sprint and Buzzard's Bay each had 1 member race and do not appear in the list
below), it could still be included in the finalized list. If there is a race
that you feel should be included, please send me an email and let me know of the
race, and why it should be included.
England Season Opener (*)

The Cape (*)
State Triathlon (*)
Masscomma Man Sprint
3 Half Ironman - Old Orchard Beach
- These are the three Max Performance races that the club is going to target. In
2011 and 2012, the club had sufficient number of members at three races to win
cash bonuses at the end of the season. In 2013, we did not meet the minimum
criteria and lost out on at least $500.
This Sunday's banquet is shaping up to be a big success. We have over 90 attendees and the awards are on their way.
Anolini's Italian Restaurant (formerly known as Glory) is located at 19 Essex St. just a few steps away from Andover center.
There is some street parking on this one way street, and the restaurant has arranged for free parking at the church parking lot just a few yards past the restaurant on the right.
The event starts at 5PM for cocktail and social hour in the lounge, then dinner will be served buffet style at 6PM in the main dining rooms. Awards presenation will begin around 6:30PM and conclude by 8PM.
When you arrive you will want to check in at the TriFury table, pay (with cash or check only) if you havn't already done so, and put your name in the hat for some great door prizes we have.
We will also have TriFury logo merchanise for sale, so if you need a TriFury tech shirt, hat, visor, socks or other items, now is your last chance for a while.
We look forward to seeing you there.
President Paul Sedgwick
P.S. We're still taking names of people who would like to be put on a TriFury team for the Mill Cities Relay on Sunday Decemeber 8th. Email Dave by Thanksgiving to get put on a team and be part of the action and fun.
