The first races of the 2011 road season will be held at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, NC on Saturday, January 29 and (postponement date) Sunday, February 27. Please come out to kick off the road racing season in oval-track style! Flyer located here.
Velo's 2011 Winter Speedway Series is in the books! Results from both
days of racing are available on the Winter Speedway Series page (click
link for OCS Race Info on the left side of this page). Thanks to
everyone who came out to race and spectate at our events- we had two
great days of racing and enjoyed seeing everyone for the beginning of
another great season.
OCS postponement date: Sunday 2/27. Due to a scheduling conflict with
the venue, racetrack personnel have asked us to move our second race day
to Sunday the 27th instead of Saturday the 26th. We apologize for the
additional date change, but this one was out of our control. All other
information (times, etc.) on the existing race flyer remains the same.
An updated flyer has been uploaded here. We hope you can all come race with us on Sunday the 27th!
OCS Race #2 POSTPONED to Feb. 26 due to inclement weather! Sorry to disappoint everyone, but we'll try again on the 26th- cross your fingers for better weather then!

Triangle Velo took the top spot in two of the five events in Triangle Velo’s Winter Speedway Series. We would like to thank the racers and spectators who came out to enjoy the beautiful weather and fast racing that provided a great start to the 2011 road racing season!
The event, held Saturday at the Orange County Speedway near Roxboro, NC, drew nearly 100 racers who combined for 156 race starts.
Keith Gerarden claimed victory in the Masters 30+ category, while Robert Ferris lapped the field for the win in the Category 3/4 race.
Other Triange Velo riders to land Top-10 finishes included Ken Johnson (second) and Solomon Kobes (seventh) in Masters 30+, Blair Hobgood (third) in Masters 40+, Adam Long (fourth) and Hobgood (sixth) in Category 3/4, and Gerarden (sixth) in Pro/1/2.Triangle Velo will host the second event in the series on Feb. 5 at the Orange County Speedway.
