Triangle Seagals Military Women Across the Nation Unit # 144 (formerly WAVES National)
Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area,  North Carolina
WAVES National is an organization open to all former or present women of the various sea services.  WAVES National began in 1979 by three women of the U.S. Navy WAVES. Most of the women who became members, at that time, served during World War II, and a few that served during World War I. WAVES National started with a few members in California but now has over 60 Units all over the United States. It continues to be a place where Women of the Sea Services could meet old friends,  make new friends, to socialize, and to give back to their community.
Members include Navy, Coast Guard, Yeomen F, Marines, Navy Nurse Corps, Wrens, and Maritime Services.  We are still something special and still going strong. We currently have over 3000 members in  the United  States.
