The TSA is a sailing cruising club located around North Carolina's Research Triangle Park.  The club consists of members from Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Sanford, and other surrounding cities.  We plan trips throughout the sailing season which, extends from April to November.  Some of the members sail just about year 'round!

Club outings include local lakes (Jordan and Kerr) and coastal areas.  Many of the members keep their boats on the Neuse River in Oriental and New Bern.  About as many members own trailer-able boats and keep their boats at their homes in The Triangle.

Coastal TSA outings include such areas as Beaufort, Belhaven, Ocracoke, Edenton, Harker's Island, and more.

TSA's mission statement

The TSA is an informal sailing and social club.  No officers, no bylaws, no release forms, no dues.  If an activity is expected to cost money, the organizers of the event will communicate the cost to those attending and ask for payment.  If you don't have a boat to go on a trip, ask someone if you can crew for them.  Feel free to invite other boating friends to join us on outings.

What's the Best About Our Club?

The People. We have members with a great deal of sailing experience who are willing to teach what they know. We've also got people who are new to sailing. If you can come to the meetings and ask questions you'll get answers and maybe a little debate going... which is good because then you can decide for yourself.
