Do not trim Ficus, Citrus, and any other frost sensitive trees right now. They still need their winter coats. 
Now is a great time to trim trees like Ash, Elm, Chaste, Desert Willow, Peach, Nectarine, and Plum. 
It is recommended to give Olive, Mesquite, Eucalyptus and Sumac a light pruning.

This month you should apply the 1st of 4 citrus applications 
Trim Citrus trees between Feb 15- March 15. Do not trim before due to frost damage
The beginning of this month is the last month for heavy pruning for trees like Ash and Elm

This is the best time to prune Evergreen trees and shrubs. 
This month is the last month to prune sun sensitive trees like Citrus and Ficus.
Pruning after March will not give the trees enough time to grow new foliage, to prevent sun damage

Good Month to plant. Soil temperatures are warm and that will increase root growth. 
As temperatures rise, make sure your trees and plants have enough water. Do not over water
